You’ve probably heard of Buyer’s Agents, Listing Agents and Selling Agents. You might have even heard of a Dual Agent?
Simply put, a Buyer Agent is legally bound to “promote the interest of the Buyer with the utmost good faith, loyalty and fidelity… and must protect the Buyer’s confidences.” Conversely, a selling agent is only looking out for the best interest of the seller.
Dual Agents are agents that work both sides of the transaction, both as the selling agent and as the buying agent. This typically happens when you show up at an open house without representation. But think about it this way: if you were to be sued, would you hire the same lawyer to represent you as the person suing you?
Exclusive Agents are the exact opposite of the Dual Agent. Every Agent at The Buyer Brokerage is an Exclusive Buyer Agent. We only work with buyers like you. Our firm NEVER lists homes, so we are never in conflict within our firm.
